Parent Involvement

As a cooperative nursery school, Hopedale parents are actively involved in their child's educational experience.

Each family contributes to the maintenance of the classroom in some way and all families take an active role; either on the board, on a committee, or in more general tasks such as guinea pig keeper or Play-Doh maker.

Parents with children attending the morning sessions also take turns helping in the classroom as the "duty parent". The scheduling of these days is quite flexible, but generally is required about once per month.

As a parent participant, you are able to see first hand how your child learns, behaves, and communicates in an educational environment. You will find being the "helper" is a rewarding opportunity to be a part of your child's first school experience.

We all contribute to making Hopedale a wonderful experience for our children.
